February Half Term at Xplore! – What’s On?

Looking for things to do this February Half Term? We’re heading into an exciting, space-themed Half Term at Xplore!, as we begin to anticipate the arrival of our brand-new permanent planetarium opening this spring 🚀

We’ve got a fun-packed week of family activities planned – here’s what’s coming up:

🌌 Destination Space – Live Science Show

In February, our Destination Space Live Science Show returns, now featuring brand-new AI elements thanks to our Demystifying AI project.

Discover how artificial intelligence supports space exploration, using real-world examples including:

  • NASA’s Perseverance rover navigating Mars

  • AI-assisted exoplanet discovery

  • Space telescopes using machine learning

⭐ Discover the Stars – Stardome Show

Our inflatable Stardome planetarium is landing for a sneak preview ahead of the opening of our permanent planetarium this spring.

⚠️ Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis

Half Term Stardome dates:

  • Tuesday 17th

  • Thursday 19th

  • Saturday 21st

  • Sunday 22nd

🎟️ To book, add general admission to your basket, and a Stardome ticket will appear for just £2 per person.

🤖 Demystifying AI – Drop-In Activities

Discover AI in fun, hands-on ways with our drop-in activities, available in our exhibition area until February 22nd.

Activities include:

  • AI Maze

  • Noughts and Crosses

  • Word Games

  • Protein Folding with Beads

Perfect for curious minds of all ages!

🌱 Stay and Play at Xplore! Nature

Looking for something a little different this February Half Term? Join us at Xplore! Nature in Northop for a Spring-themed Stay and Play session.

Activities include:

  • A nature walk to discover what’s waking up in the natural world

  • Planting herbs or flowers to take home

  • Traditional crafts such as a Brigid cross, dolly, or wool-woven creation

  • Delicious pancakes warmed on the campfire 🔥🥞
