Visit the Xplore! Café

Our dedicated café is situated within our free-to-access space connecting two sides of the city.  The cafe is open to everyone without needing an entrance ticket; we warmly welcome passer’s by and city centre workers to stop off for a snack as well as families visiting our centre. 

Welsh Produce
We are proud to be in the heart of Wrexham city centre in North Wales and we aim to include more Welsh produce in our café, giving our visitors the best Wales can offer.  

Hot food
Our hot food service starts from 12pm until 3pm 7 days a week serving delicious freshly-made pizzas, and outside of those times we have toast, Welsh cakes and hot drinks available all day in our 5-star hygiene rated café.  

Cakes and treats
The Science Café has a variety of mouth-watering cakes available as well as other snacks and drinks. For those with a sweet tooth, our Coffee and Cake deal is every Thursday where you can choose a cake and any hot drink for just £2.50!  

Sandwiches and meal deals
Every Weekend and school holidays we have freshly-made sandwiches available. Check out our kid’s meal deal where you can get a sandwich, snack, and a drink.

Good to know

Bathrooms
Baby changing facility available as well as gender-neutral toilet facilities available for customers.
Bottle warming
Our Front of House staff would be happy to warm up bottles for infants.
Hire our cafe
Our cafe is available for free-to-access hire for small groups 7 days a week from 09:30 until 16:30.
Recycling
We limit the use of single use plastic in our café by using biodegradable takeaway containers where we can. Help us by doing your bit and use the recycling bins provided.
