Tŷ Pawb and Xplore! Science Discovery Centre are teaming up once again for a family friendly weekend of spectacular interactive shows, hands on science activities, arts workshops, and much more! This year’s festival will take place on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th August 2024 and promises to be the most exciting edition yet!

Your day ticket includes:

  • A full day of activities from 9.30-16.30; choose to come on either Saturday or Sunday
  • Entrance to Xplore!’s main exhibition space
  • Access to all activities
    • Shows and performances run at several times throughout the day
    • Activities take place across Xplore! and Ty Pawb sites

The Amazing Air Show

How do we know that air is all around us? Join Dr Sarah Bearchell for an interactive multi-sensory exploration where you are the scientist. Observe and experiment together with Sarah to prove that air really is there!

The Bad Boy of Science

The discovery of the Higgs Boson was one of the greatest and most exciting discoveries of science – could you have made it yourself?

Join the hunt for the Higgs in this highly interactive comedy show where you, the public, are in charge of the Large Hadron Collider. Using a smartphone or tablet you will have direct access to LHC data, and complete interactive games to help solve problems and analyse data. A unique, very high energy, very entertaining, and very hands-on show.

Braintastic – Amazing Animals Show

Can you crack puzzles solved by chimps, parrots and dolphins? Are you smarter than a slime mould? By exploring the range of abilities held by our animal relatives, this fun show throws light on the difficulties of defining intelligence, and the importance of fair tests.
