A Day of Discovery: Wonder Day Returns to Wrexham
Xplore! Science Discovery Centre is thrilled to announce the return of Wonder Day, a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and community. Funded by ECLAS (Equipping Christian Leadership in an Age of Science), Xplore! is bringing this unique, family-friendly event back to the heart of Wrexham for 2025.
Taking place on Saturday 5th July 2025, the spectacular Wonder Day will transform St Giles’ Parish Church, one of Wrexham’s most iconic landmarks, into an extraordinary hub of science, play, and hands-on fun. The event is completely free to attend and there is no need to book.
At the core of Wonder Day is a mission to inspire awe and ignite curiosity in the most unexpected places. With its historic architecture and spiritual significance, St Giles’ Parish Church becomes an extraordinary setting where science and wonder meet.
Clair Griffiths, Xplore!’s Community Fundraising and Outreach Coordinator, shared her enthusiasm:

- Live shows inside a pop-up planetarium, where visitors can journey through the stars.
- Slime-making workshops, offering hands-on fun with a scientific twist.
- Giant puzzles and games, encouraging teamwork and problem-solving.
- Bubble displays and experiments, bringing the magic of surface tension to life.
- Drop-in construction and role-play zones, where budding builders can create and play freely.
- Plus many more surprises, demonstrations, and science-themed delights throughout the day.
