A New Way to Explore Space in Wrexham!
Step into our brand-new fixed Planetarium in Wrexham city centre and take a closer look at the universe.
Made possible with support from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, our Planetarium brings space exploration to Xplore! in a whole new way. Join us for a show beneath the dome and discover the stories, science and spectacular sights of our solar system.
You do not need to visit the exhibition to enjoy a Planetarium show. Whether you are planning a family outing, looking for something different to do in Wrexham, or simply fascinated by space, you can come along just for the show.
See a Planetarium Show Without Visiting the Exhibition
Our Planetarium can be enjoyed as a standalone visit, so you can come to see a show without purchasing admission to the exhibition.
If you would like to explore the full Xplore! experience too, General Admission includes access to the Science Discovery Centre, a live science show and a Planetarium session. Planetarium places with General Admission are available on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to availability.
Please let a member of staff know if you have booked a Standalone ticket, so you can have first priority inside the Planetarium.
Now Showing: The Wondrous World of Saturn
Saturn has amazed people for centuries. From its extraordinary rings to its many moons, it is one of the most recognisable and fascinating planets in our solar system.
In The Wondrous World of Saturn, discover more about this remarkable planet and the Great White Spot, first observed 150 years ago during the Year of Wonder. Look closer at the science, scale and surprises of Saturn in an immersive show beneath the Planetarium dome.
What Is a Planetarium Show?
A Planetarium show is an immersive experience that brings astronomy and space science to life overhead. Sit back, look up and follow the story as you travel beyond Earth to explore planets, stars and the wider universe.
