Our dedicated Home Education Days are an opportunity for you to join us with your young people for a day of exciting activities!
Suitable for learners aged 5-14, our dedicated space offers home educators special access to our exclusive programme of curriculum linked workshops and shows. These sessions will allow young people to work together with their adults to achieve their own learning targets in a way that suits their needs.
Included in the day is access to our exhibition space with over 80 exhibits to explore in your own way. Additionally, each day revolves around a theme with a selection of activities scheduled which reflect relevant STEM topics. You can pick and choose which sessions are best for you.
Whilst we are open to the public on Home Education Days, we do not take school bookings so the centre will be quieter.
Know before your visit:
- Everyone who attends needs a ticket, including accompanying adults and siblings.
- Children under 3 years old are free.
- All children attending the event must be supervised and accompanied by their grown-ups at all times.
- Children under 5 will not be able to take part in activities.
- If you are intending to bring older or younger children into the sessions, please bear in mind that the content may not be engaging for them, and restless behaviour can affect the enjoyment of others in the audience. We will be happy to recommend alternative things to do that might be more relevant.
