Welcome to Xplore! Based within the heart of Wrexham, our visitor centre provides a great space for all the family to enjoy. Admission includes access to over 85 interactive exhibits designed to challenge visitors’ understanding of science in a fun and educational way. Space Shapes 9minutes
What’s the difference between a sphere and a disc? A ball and a pancake? Lift off in a rocket and find out!
Visit the planets to see if they are round like a ball or round like a pancake. What about the Solar System, is it round like a pancake or round like a ball? Suitable for all ages
Sizing up space 13minutes
How big is the distance between the Earth and the Sun – or between the Sun and the other planets? Discover the Light Year, the very large ‘ruler’ that scientists use to measure the size of Space. Suitable for all ages
- All visitors must have a ticket, including Annual Pass holders, wheelchair users, and carers. Babies in arms do not require a ticket.
- Planetarium tickets are not included in your Annual Pass
- Shows last approximately 30 minutes.
- Please note that we offer a mix of cinema-style and floor seating. Cinema-style seating in the planetarium is prioritised for adults.
- Prams are not permitted in the Planetarium. Please leave them in the designated waiting area.
- Please arrive on time, as late entry is not permitted once the show begins.
- If you miss your slot, we may move your booking to the next available session, subject to availability. Refunds are only available in exceptional circumstances.
- Shows may include flashing lights, strobe effects, and immersive motion, which may not be suitable for visitors with motion sickness.
- Please book tickets for wheelchair users separately. It will pop up as another add-on option. We have 2 wheelchair spaces per show.
Know before you book:
- We have booking slots available from 9.30, and you’re welcome to stay for as long as you’d like.
- Last admissions is at 14:30 with the centre finally closing at 16:30.
- Please make sure you select an adult ticket alongside any under-3s you book on!
