Forest Walk and Talk – Enjoy a guided walk through the Northop campus woodlands and identify the diverse flora and fauna. Take in the tranquility of the ancient site and discover more about its varied history.

Forest make and take – Use natural resources to craft an item to take with you. Options include candle making, bird boxes, God’s Eyes, clay creations, whittled sticks, and seasonal wreaths.

Shelter building – Learn about knots and use resources from the woodlands to create shelters that are large enough to protect your team from the elements.

Fire lighting – Learn how to safely light a fire in the great outdoors without the need for fire lighters or matches. Use the Kelly kettles to boil your water for hot drinks.

Mindfulness – Relax in the woods away from electronic devices and take the session at your own pace. Hear stories around the campfire, create an intricate drawing of a leaf, snooze in a hammock, or explore the nearby field and woodland.

Site maintenance – Offer your time to help us maintain our wonderful woodlands and forest school areas. Our maintenance needs change over the year but include path clearance, fence and shelter construction, wildlife habitat creation, Bioblitz studies, and collection and chopping of firewood.

Note that we try our utmost to deliver the session in every weather, so waterproofs and wellies are a must!
If a session does need to be called off we can usually deliver an indoor team building session at Xplore! in Wrexham instead at a discounted rate and pre-arrange your session in the woods for another date.
